Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.

– The Fantastiks

Shortly before I left Minnesota, my rockin’-Mom-friend Natascha, me, and a car full of children made our way to the amazing Franconia Sculpture Park for a day of adventure and art appreciation.

And here are a few more pictures from Franconia, which I encourage you to visit if you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Warning! Hippies Being Artsy!

I can fit in a tree stump.

It Can Fit In There

This is the old Stage Manager’s Console from the Ordway Center, which I encountered while helping a friend move.  While I never worked there, the console apparently holds sentimental value for some people.

I can fit in there!

And… it can fit in there.

Sometimes you just have to let things go.  Especially really heavy things.

I Can Fit at Teddy Bear Land

First, am I the only one who finds the giant stone teddy bear extremely creepy?

Secondly, I was supposed to fit in something at the playground with my friend’s kid, but he had an attack of shyness.  6 year-olds are so unreliable.  Maybe he was afraid of my braces.  They were scary.

I Can Fit In A Basket

My trusty assistant Dana and I hit the World Market searching for the ideal basket to store her most treasured items.

Perfect!

I can fit in South Dakota.

I can fit in there at 3:30am

Okay, so this isn’t the best picture, but I assure you I am sitting in the child’s car seat in Natascha’s car in the parking lot at Grumpy’s.   Aww, we’re so happy about it.  And Dave and I have matching hats!

I can fit in there. Now please let me out.

The #1 BEST THING I ever fit in.

I can SO fit in there.
